Bad news for Brackley

This week, Gavin Cowan resigned as manager to go to third from bottom of league two, Shrewsbury. He will be taking with him his assistant manager creating a doomsday managerial vacuum at Brackley Town FC. Brackley are fighting for survival in the National league now too close for comfort to the relegation zone, sitting at 4th from bottom. This news shows the mercenary nature of football management where money and careerism comes before club loyalty and committment to the fans. A similar story continues at Oxford Utd where they lost last night 3-1 away to Sheffield Utd. Despite the recent managerial change, Oxford are sinking and moving more adrift, second from bottom in the Championship.
