Brackley needed another win to keep that sixth time lucky chance of promotion alive, as they took on Farsley Celtic today. Form wise the match looked an easier game for Town following their one nil midweek win over Chorley. In the first ten mins, they certainly opened brightly with several runs and attacks on the Chorley goal end. Brackley kept piling on the pressure throughout the first half with several close shots on goal and took most of the domination play up to the half time whistle but frustratingly no reward of an goal for them. Everyone was looking for a more promising Brackley second half.
Below - Brackley consistent attacks continue into the second half.

As the sun came out more, so did the hope for a lead goal. The appearance of a below second half full rainbow kept the miracle promotion feeling coming amongst the home supporters.

20 mins the opener nearly came with a Brackley header which went just past the Farsley goal. Shortly, a corner followed, more pressure but still no Brackley goal. With a freezing cold home stand supporters needed a goal to warm themselves up. As play moved into the final quarter a nil nil stalemate scoreline still remained and still Brackley kept running into the Farsley penalty area with a never say die continuing compact performance . Run after run, shot after shot and still no goal as the clock moved into the final 5 mins and another corner which after a goal mouth scramble would have gone in had not been touched away by the Farsley keeper. Then came a possible touch and cry for handball but no penalty kick given. As the referee blew the final whistle and the scorline remained a nil nil equalise fans went home wondering what they had witnessed was a match of maybes which needed to be better if Brackley are to finally get up this season.
