Emergency Alarm System goes off at 3pm on St.George's Day

The smartphone EAS warning went off natonwide this Sunday. The Gov.UK website states it

will be used to warn people of severe flooding and weather threats and gives no reference

that it may be used in the event of a nuclear attack. During the Second World War, air raid sirens were used to warn people of imminent attack. Technology has moved on. Smartphones maybe more universal and effective in the event of a nuclear attack from Putin or any other threat from the China-Russia-Iran axis.
