Brackley Town Win Automatic Promotion to National Vanarama For 25/26 Season

With the last match of the season finally arriving, Brackley play in a sitter of a match against bottom of the league Farley Celtic. In order to win the automatic promotion place, Brackley need the results lottery to go their way. Only with Kidderminster drawing or losing in their away match Southport, can they go up with an inevitable home win today.

With a packed stadium full of very vocal Brackley fans, Brackley got off to a dynamite start with Danny Newton scoring in the opening 5th minute of the match. In the 22nd minute, Brackley went 2-0 and with Kidderminster 0-0 drawing , if the score remained this way, it looked by the start of the third quarter of the first half, Brackley would go up, if the results lottery continued to come in with a jackpot and avoid a seventh play off for Brackley Town. In the 30th minute, Brackkey were 3-0 up and also chasing the 20 goal difference with Kidderminster to give them the title even if Kidderminster were to win. In the 34th min came a roar from the Brackley supporters as news came in that struggling bottom of the league were one nil up. As the first half moved towards a close, things were getting better all the time as the hill for Kidderminster was getting steeper for them to climb back into the automatic promotion race. In the 40th min, a fourth Brackley goal went in to add another pinch of salt into the Kidderminster opening up wound. All Brackley could hope for in the second half is that it would get bigger and bigger as the possible history making match reached full time.
