More misery for Leighton Town as they take on Welwyn Garden City following FA Trophy defeat.

11th placed Leighton took on 15th placed WGC in the highest non league table in Milton Keynes, Southern league, division one central. Flinn urgently needed a win on remembrance day in order to lighten up expectations following the recent FA Trophy disappointment defeat to Reigate. Hopes were raised when Leighton went up one nil, 13 mins in. Leighton continued to dominate most of the first half with several close attempts on goal. A surprise quick counter attack from Welwyn in the 27th min led to a controversial equaliser, which many shouted from the side lines to be off side. One minute in to the second half, Welwyn settled the matter with a 2-1 winning goal. Tempers followed with a Leighton sending off in the 52nd minute denying them any chance of getting back into the match. GMK News can report that rumours are beginning to circulate as to whether Flinn will see out the season at Leighton Town.
