Today, Mk Irish were looking to help send bottom of the league Dunstable down today. MK Irish still consolidating their first seaso in a hieher tiered league, home also to Leighton Town who are in secend in the central league. Mk Irish so far this season, presently hold thirteenth in the lower part of the league and are showing capability to be able to deal with the new higher league they have promoted into. Dunstable were siding a very young looking side. Right from the start a sole drummer started up drumming and singing for MK irish from the new home stand. The play openexd with evenly balenced play aninexperienced Dunstable side looking able to deal with the higher thirteenth placed side. However in the 8th min, MK Irish were given a corner on the right hand side which when well taken high and dropping onto the boot of an Irish striker, gave them an early 1-9 In the 13th min, MK irish got another goal and with the first quarter gone the match was begining to look like it was going to turn into a rout. Irish kept pushing the ball and making more runs into the Dunstable penalty area increasing the threat of possible pending slaughter. All Duntable could do was to keep defending as best as they could and hope the ondlaught would peter out. In the second quarter, Dunstable’s front line had become in active and all the attacking play and chances were being created by Irish. A third Irish goal would kill the game off, if Dunstable could keep it 2-0, they stood an unlikely chance of being able to try and turn the game around for the secind half. In the third quarter, Irish were playing possession football with Dunstable players chasing for the ball. The more chances they created up front, the more likely the quicksand third goal would come. By the final five mins of the second half, Dunstable were able to win a bit more of the play and finally started to create one or two chances of their own. If they kept attacking more they stood more chance of keeping the match at 2-0 and starting a serious fight back second half. However in the 44th min, Irish managed to force a counter attack, a striker broke free in the Dunstable penalty area, getting a successful killer strike at goal making it three nil. When the half time whistle finally came, all Dunstable could do was accept the rout and workout a miracle in the changing room as to how they get back into the match second half. From a spectator point of view, the match looked dead and buried and was it worth staying to watch anymore? By the end of the first quarter of the second half, the answer was no as an Mk irish striker got a high kick at goal in the box to make it 4-0 and make it impossible for Dunstable to find a way back into the match.
