Rain stopped play at the Dons v AFC Wimbledon clash at the MK Stadium while the Swans kept the show going refusing to postpone their first match since their painful defeat FA Vase defeat to Fakenham Town. The swans started well with the visitor's Godminster Rovers goalie conceading a handball just outside the penalty area which denied them an early lead and really should have caused the goalkeeper to be punished with a red card. The Swans continued to dominate most of the first half with some never say die counter attacks from Godminster. The frequency of Godminster's defensive errors continued up to half time which nearly got punished when the Swans put a goal in the net only to be disallowed due to offside. Godminster went in at half time with more of the closing stages of the first half with two decent shots at goal on target. Ten mins into the second half the swans nearly scored with a close shot which went slightly wide. Momentum continued when Jack Bowen finally took the lead after 15 mins and Dan Walker earnt a second five mins later.

giving the swans the 2-0 compensatory victory.

Good news also for Leighton Town who beat Thame 1-3 away redeeming their recent surprise home defeat to Welwyn and drop in the league. Like the Swans, all Leighton can now hope for is promotion, now that both clubs are out of the FA knock out competitions for this season.
