Two runs to Wembley in the FA vase and legionary ex manager, Gary Flinn is now back at Newport Pagnell FC for the 2025/2026 season. After a surprisingly poor season at Leighton Buzzard, Flinn left the club in the summer and has returned to the swans where he should probably never have left. Why leave a highly successful club after having after having won
the FA Vase trophy in 2022, followed by being runners up to Ascot in the following year?
Incidentally, at the time of writing, Leighton Buzzard have now hit top of the league position since Flinn’s departure. Who says football can’t be a strange and funny business.
Since his return this month, Newport Pagnell remain mid table
as he settles back into his managerial role at the club.
Today the Swans lost 4-3 away to Leicester Nirvana after being 4-0 down, indicating there is still more ground work to be done at the club, if the good times are to return.
A good league run this season would confirm that the good times have most definitely come back. More anticipation, expectation and excitement is alive for the Swans as they remain in the FA Vase and play their round two match on October 8th.
on October 8th.
