Out of all the local clubs reported on this season, Brackley look the most interesting as far as promotion chances are concerned. With a prize of conference league football next season if promoted, Brackley offer good prospects. 2018 FA Trophy Winners Brackley are well placed near the top of the league and after five near past runs at the top glory place, can they do it this time with their sixth stab at trying to achieve it? Tonight they played Kings Lynn with a 610 attendance and scores of fans for a midweek fixture turned out to see if the dream is possible with the arrival of spring and movement towards closure of the 23-24 season.

Kings Lynn came out energetic at the start with a noisy and almost full away end of fans to cheer them.

Below a full away end of supporters. .

By the tenth minute things had gone even stevens with few shots on goal either end. When the clock hit eight, Lynn fired a threatening long shot from the left corner side which was well on target and could have gone in giving Brackley something to think about. As they sought to gain more possession and silence the away end, Town kept trying to get a closer grip on the first half. Town's attempt to step up a gear were extinguished when King’s Lynn managed to get through a weakening Town defence and put the visitors one nil up just as the the second quarter of the first half came to a conclusion. The third quarter went very down beat and low as Brackley tried to restore some kind of order to the match which finally lifted with an equaliser from Danny Windsor in the 42nd minute. Brackley came out with more fight in the second half, only to receive some horrid tackling from the visitors. An aggressive start to the second half ended up with an aggressive goal from King’s Lynn putting them 2-1 in front by the time the match hit the second quarter of the second half. With an FA Trophy victory and several runs into the first and second rounds of the FA cup behind them in their history, Brackley Town could do with a boost of further success by achieving conference promotion. Unfortunately today it was not to be be as more Brackley defensive errors led to final whistle 1-3 defeat.

Above Kings Lynne celebrate as they go up one three.
