GMK News spent most of the 24/25 season covering Brackley Town FC and will return there to cover National Vanarama matches for the 25/26 season. With its offices in Milton Keynes, GMK news have decided to report on local football news from the Mk Stadium and today cover their second home match against Cheltenham. With a 1-0 win against Barrow, MkFC hold 6th position in League Two.

In the 11th minute, Cheltenham retaliated with another run into the MK penalty area but again no chance was created. In the 15th min, the signing of new players and the pre- season training in Spain had seemed to pay off as captain, Alex Gilbey hit the back of the net after a long shot at goal. Ten mins later in the 25th minute, the ball moved yet again into the Cheltenham half leading to Callum Paterson scoring another long range goal. In the 25th min some noise could be heard from the small contingent of visiting supporters, tucked away in the usual far corner of the stadium which although maximising security does little to enhance atmosphere. MK supporters with a drum beating were very vocal right from the start of the match. By the time the half time whistle had gone, Cheltenham had created very few chances, reflective in the half time score, giving them plenty to reflect upon as they headed towards the changing room. The second half started off a bit more competitive with Cheltenham getting a shot at goal in the 53rd min which went extensively wide. Two mins later, a header, which went well above the MK cross bar. MK started to substitute in the 56th sensing with a 3-0 lead the match was probably won. In the 58th min, Cheltenham got their best chance of the match with a shot which had to be saved off the line by a not too long stretch and dive from the MK keeper. Things went from better to even better when Rushian Hepburn- Murphy scored in front of the home East stand end. Quite a few MK defenders scored this match reflective of the Lewington era. By the 60th min, the home East stand was highly vocal and with such a high score line, fans were beginning to believe that Paul Warne has got things right and there is no need for a name change or any change at the club. Time will tell if this will prove correct for the whole 25/26 season. Scott Hogan and Leko came on in the 67th min with a chant of no one likes us, we are super mk, coming from the home end. In the 75th, Mk subs Marvin Ekpiteta and Connor Lemonheigh-Evans further followed.
