With an almost unbeaten record to date, MK Irish's form and performance this season looks great. Only one defeat this season away to top club real Bedford in their first match, MK were looking in good form as they went in today's home battle fixture with Sawbridge Town. Despite their good results for the 23-24 season, MK are a distant second to top of the League Real Bedford. Victory today almost looked certain as they play bottom of the league ,Sawbridge. However a win today would give them 60pts, and still a wide gap to chase to Real Bedford who at the time of writing have 68. From the outset the match went as expected with MK scoring in the second opening minute. Sawbridge responded by holding the expected MK Irish onslaught despite a near close second goal attempt from MK towards and hit against the post at the end of the first quarter hour. Sawbridge kept their heads up with some counter attack and an appeal for a penalty not given until

23rd min when MK made it 2-0. The rot started to set in for Sawbridge when a few minutes later a third went in for MK Irish. All Swabridge could do until half time was hope no more would go in and looked relieved when the referee blew his whistle for the break. With a stronger fighting second half, Sawbridge were finally able to stop anymore goals going in, giving MK Irish a 3-0 victory and one step closer to top of the league finish.
