Oxford Utd continue to pay for Des Buckingham sacking

This week came the news that Oxford have finally sacked Gary Rowett, after one win out of their 10 recent matches. Rowett replaced Des Buckingham following his ruthless sacking from the club in 2024. Eversince, Oxford’s fortunes have declined as they battle to stay up in the Championship. This week they were able to

jump out the relegatiin zone following a win under their caretaker manager. Tonight they hopef the same could happen again as they met up with Swansea. However, it was not to be as they lost pushing them back down into the championship relegation zone for the start of the new year.
